Public Policy Advocacy
Neely Public Strategies provides public policy advocacy services to clients across a variety of spheres, including public infrastructure, water policy, public safety, transportation and aviation. We develop and execute government relations strategies by identifying and prioritizing policy goals and designing strategies to achieve them. Our understanding of the governmental process, both political and bureaucratic, and our relationships with Arizona's elected officials allow us to successfully represent clients and help define their issues to the people making decisions. Through communication, consensus building and compromise, we are able to assist our clients in opening a dialogue about their issue. We are dedicated to guiding clients through the intricate government structure in order to ensure that they receive quantifiable results. We are skilled at working with and state government officials as well as leaders of individual departments and agencies. Our energy and communication back to clients is unprecedented and clearly differentiates Neely Public Strategies from all others.
Community Relations
Arizona cities and towns are well-known for its community opposition and unique local politics. Proposed change in any of Arizona’s communities introduces neighborhoods to an expectation of uncertainty. Concerned citizens and community activists can be quick to perceive projects as disruptive, catalyzing public opposition that leads to delay or defeat of projects. Through an extensive network of personal relationships with community leaders across Arizona, Neely Public Strategies help our clients craft effective proposals and strategies to build strong working relationships with communities by focusing on ongoing communication and fair negotiation to address community concerns. Our methodology to achieve success in this area relies on a heavy dose of political intelligence, mobilizing support and creating a long-term, ongoing coalition with the local community. Effective coalitions take many forms. Sometimes it's more important to interact with as many people or organizations as possible to build broad, grassroots support. Other times, the focus is on opinion and thought leaders. Whether the issue requires a full-force grassroots campaign, or one more targeted to grasstops leadership, Neely Public Strategies has the experience to identify appropriate stakeholders, craft messages that resonate, and make sure the appropriate mechanisms are used to disseminate and collect information.
Business Development
For any organizations that have a strategy to reach any of the various 200 government entities within the state of Arizona, Neely Public Strategies can help. We are experienced in reaching your sales goals by opening doors, gaining consensus from key members of government, and going door to door to make sure we achieve the necessary results. Utilizing a broad range of relationships with government decision-makers, a command of government processes and expertise in identifying and communicating an organization's value position, we formulate and implement successful business development strategies that enable clients to achieve superior sales results.
Neely Public Strategies also provides clients with improved interactions with the City of Phoenix Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Certification Program, which certifies socially (minority and woman-owned firms) and economically disadvantaged business owners who want to do business with the city of Phoenix.
The DBE program is available to firms located throughout the United States that have completed the Arizona Unified Certification Program (AZUCP) process through a statewide, one-stop process with the city of Phoenix, Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) or the city of Tucson.
